2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS-Class- Review and Prices

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS-Class has finally debuted the substitute for its original four-door coupe, the CLS. At primary glance one should notice a similar silhouette to the outgoing model, but there are also an extensive number of fresh and highly accentuated lines that gives this four-door coupe a very bold, new look. The Mercedes-Benz's new SLS AMG, the sole occupant of the automaker's 2011 SLS-Class, certainly stands out in a crowd, thanks to its distinctive bullet-like shape and upward-opening gulling doors, a throwback to the iconic Mercedes 300SL sports car of the early 1950s. Built from the ground up by AMG, Mercedes' in-house sports tuner, the 2011 SLS AMG complies with GT3 race-car specifications created by the FIA, or Federation International de Automobile, an international association governing prestigious racing events. In other words, underneath the SLS's sleek exterior beats the heart of a true racer. The CLS-Class created a new vehicle category in 2003 by combining the elegance and expressiveness of a coupé with the comfort and functionality of a sedan. The CLS delighted the public, astounded the competition and created a new style icon: for years the CLS has endured as the only four-door coupé in its class, and since October 2004 it has been the car of choice for around 170,000 buyers worldwide. Other exterior features include bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED footlights, and flat LED taillights. A rear spoiler, integrated into the trunk lid, deploys automatically when the car reaches 75 mph.
